My name is Zac. I am an artist, teacher, gardener, and ritualist living in the ancestral homelands of the Piscataway and Susquehannock nations-- also known as Baltimore, Maryland. It is my sacred intention to help create a just world that cherishes and celebrates connection between all people, the many non-human species around us, and the environments we all must live in.
In my work I combine gardening and botanical knowledge, art and education, and ritual to make special events and artworks that explore the human relationship to the environment-- ways we are showing up for our planet and each other, and ways we need to be. My art and ritual envision a world where power is shared between people, wealth is measured in the health of our ecosystems, and the myths that uphold white supremacy while oppressing Black and Brown people, and Trans* and female bodies have been thoroughly examined and destroyed.

TeachingI taught school children in Baltimore City for 8 years. Recently I decided I wanted to take my education out of the classroom, and am rediscovering my relationship to teaching.

RitualI help design rituals for rites of passage-- the Wheel of the Year, and other ceremonies as people ask me to to do. I try to make that process as collaborative as possible.
