The water and the stars have loved each other for eons....until, that is, the forest hag learns a new skill. How can the water and stars restore their relationship when she interferes with their language? Can balance be restored?
In "The Hag Who Stole the Starlight," this story about taking only what you need, taking responsibility for your place in the environment, and celebrating unity with the world around you takes place over a few nights on the Chesapeake Bay. The forest hag learns she can light her house by stealing reflections from the surface of the water, but it causes harm to the environment when she does.
I say this story was channeled to me by a bear after a day of meditation. In my meditation, a bear sat down at a picnic table with me, and told me the best way to learn about the concept of "soul retrieval" was by listening to this tale. She told me the story in about 10 minutes, and it hasn't changed much from that initial telling. My husband, Jimmy Malone, loved the story so much he wanted to collaborate on turning it into a picture book, and so we did. You can buy the book in my shop after August 22, 2020. Below are some photos of the creation process.
